The Undreaming Chonicles Book Two by Alexander Marchand
I eagerly awaited Marchand’s new graphic novel and it was worth the wait. Having read his previous two books, this didn’t disappoint. Marchand’s inspiration and the underlying foundation of his efforts is from the Course in Miracles, the groundbreaking work by Helen Schucman.
Marchand has the transcendent ability to take metaphysical concepts and explain them with precision in a few graphic frames. His brilliance shines the most by applying mathematical formulas for what he terms mind fragments on the way to explaining the nature of time.
He begins this adventure by re-introducing Zadeekee, his alien guide from the Holy Planet and the co-star of his 1st Undreaming Chronicles novel. This time around she escorts Marchand through the Library of Time.
Zadeekee explains how it came into existence in clear, understandable examples. The Course in Miracles doesn’t get into this level of complex simplicity. For this reason Marchand’s work takes the reader on a more evocative journey than the course in embracing time and it’s illusory characteristics.
Marchand’s background in computer engineering served him well in detailing the bit and binary nature of the Universe as explained by Zadeekee. His use of illustrative characteristics allows the reader to see both of them touring the library of time as electron like clouds, and not bodies, which is conceptually more consistent with the Course. It is these types of artistic choices that transforms the reader into a fellow traveler along for the ride.
There were a number of moments while reading this book that I had to put it down and reflect on what I had just read. There haven’t been many books I’ve reviewed that have been this mind blowing.
Marchand is easily one of the most brilliant and creative authors in the Course in Miracles arena. I think his series of graphic novels will stand the test of time for any course student in the present and future.

Welcome to The Course, Of Course!
This blog is dedicated to all things "A Course in Miracles". It is our hope that anyone who is interested in the Course, as scribed by Helen Schucman along with William T. Thetford, may find this site helpful.
We give thanks for opening our minds to understand ACIM by acknowledging the trilogy of books by Gary R. Renard, Arten and Pursah: "The Disappearance of the Universe", "Your Immortal Reality", and "Love Has Forgotten No One".
Thank you for experiencing our dream together.
